Welcome

I am an experienced psychodynamic counsellor offering short, mid and long term counselling for individuals and couples, from my private practice in Leicester. My therapy room is close to the city centre on 12 Princess Road West which is easily accessible by public transport or by car, with affordable on street parking available nearby. My comfortable therapy room, helps me create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your emotions, and the experiences and difficulties which have brought you to this point.

If you are thinking about starting individual or couples counselling, and you are looking for a counsellor in Leicester, I may be able to help.

Why choose therapy now?

Why am I feeling overwhelmed and anxious?

Occasionally there are times when everything feel like an unmanageable struggle, when things become overwhelming and too difficult to manage alone. There are times when the support from family and friends is enough, and there are times when it simply isn’t. When it can feel extremely lonely and as if there is no-one to turn to, or that no-one understands. It is at these difficult times of loneliness when acute anxiety, stress and depression, can take hold.

How will reaching out and asking for help, help me?

The decision to seek help, and the first steps towards counselling can be also be a daunting and anxiety provoking time. Talking to a stranger may feel like an odd concept, however talking your troubles through with someone who is unrelated and non-judgemental, can help you make sense of your thoughts, and your inner turmoil. I provide a safe space where we can work towards understanding your past experiences, how this effects you now, and equip you with the ‘tools’ to create new ways of relating to yourself and to others. Helping you find your answers and your solutions, to strengthen your self esteem and bring about, a noticeable and lasting change.
